Job Description Senior Project Engineer – Heavy Civil (Earthwork
& Paving) Location: Northern California Employment Type: Full-Time
I’m partnering with one of Northern California’s most respected
heavy civil general contractors to help them find a Senior Project
Engineer with strong experience in earthwork and paving. This role
is key to ensuring projects run smoothly, supporting project
managers, and coordinating engineering, scheduling, and technical
aspects on complex heavy civil projects. Responsibilities: Support
project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordination of
earthwork and paving projects Review plans, specifications, and
submittals to ensure compliance and feasibility Coordinate with
subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to resolve technical
issues Monitor project progress, track costs, and assist in
reporting to management Ensure quality control, safety compliance,
and adherence to project standards Qualifications: Proven
experience as a project engineer in heavy civil construction Strong
technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent
communication and collaboration abilities Proficiency with
construction software and Microsoft Office The company offers a
