Job Description Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil (Earthwork & Paving) Location: Northern California Employment Type: Full-Time I’m partnering with one of Northern California’s most respected heavy civil general contractors to help them find a Senior Estimator with strong experience in earthwork and paving. This role is critical in supporting project success by providing accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates that guide project planning and execution. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork, paving, and related heavy civil projects Analyze plans, specifications, and subcontractor bids to develop accurate proposals Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to refine scope, schedule, and cost assumptions Maintain databases of historical costs, unit pricing, and vendor information Support business development by producing clear, competitive, and timely estimates Qualifications: Proven experience estimating heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork and paving Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office The company offers a highly competitive salary, excellent benefits, and clear opportunities for career progression within a respected, high-performing team.
