you: Deliver excellent student supervision consistent with the age
and abilities of students Set and hold high expectations for

Demonstrate passion for the content area you teach Encourage
students to take risks and learn from their mistakes Create

lines of communication Instructional Responsibilities: As a
substitute teacher, you will be responsible for teaching lessons to
students for one to five periods per day while the host teacher is
away from their classroom. Invictus will provide all substitutes
with two full days of paid training, as well as ongoing
professional development opportunities. During the course of the
school year, you will have the opportunity to teach different
subjects and grade levels, an excellent launchpad for someone
interested in becoming a full-time teacher in the future. As a

you do whatever it takes to support their growth. Position Details:
This is an on call, hourly position. The hourly substitute rate is
$40 per hour. The hours are: Monday, Tuesday, & Friday:
8:00am-4:00pm Wednesday & Thursdays: 8:00am-2:40pm All days may
require supervision responsibilities during classroom transitions.
For planned absences, we will schedule substitute assignments in
advance. For unexpected absences, we will either call the evening
prior or the day of by 7:30am.
_______________________________________ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Earned Bachelors Degree. You are excited to be part of the teaching
profession in California public schools and a member of the
Invictus community. You have or can obtain a Valid 30-day Emergency
Substitute Permit or have other Valid CA Teaching Credential. *If
you have a BA/BS from a regionally accredited university, can meet
the California Basic Skills requirements, and are interested in
learning more about the requirements to obtain an Emergency
Substitute Permit, please reach out by emailing mkato

high academic and behavioral expectations, and are committed to
providing the support they need to do so. You are adaptable and
excited to teach different subjects and grade levels, and are eager
to develop your students love for it too. You are professional,
warm and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues. You
are a team player and are willing to support teachers, staff and
students as needs arise. You are able to start immediately and can
be available on call. All employees must pass a background check
and be free of TB risk factors. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Our ideal
candidate has at least three years of teaching experience. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS This position is on-site. The employee must have
sufficient mobility to report to campus, work in a classroom, and
engage with students, with or without reasonable accommodations.
The employee may be required to do light lifting, pushing/pulling,
and bending, with or without accommodations. The employee must
possess the ability to communicate with students, parents, and
colleagues, with or without reasonable accommodations.
