Position description
Quigley Lab - Assistant or Associate Specialist
School of Medicine - Urology
The Quigley lab studies study tumor biopsies from men living with
advanced prostate cancer, a lethal disease with no cure. We are
seeking a bioinformatics specialist to contribute to projects that
define how resistance to targeted therapy arises, and how genomic
and epigenomic alterations determine which patients will benefit
from a therapy. Recent projects from our group have been published
in Cell, Nature Genetics, and Cancer Discovery (see
https://quigleylab.ucsf.edu). We collaborate with clinical groups
at UCSF and around the world to generate our own data, employing
deep whole genome, exome, transcriptome, whole genome bisulfite,
5-hydroxymethylcytosine, and ATAC sequencing. Projects are analyzed
on a shared CentOS cluster using a wide variety of tools.
