Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Carmichael, CA Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,534 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/17/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Carmichael, California, 95608! ID: 75805268 Shift: 12H Nights 12hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Description: Unit Sol prescreensneed 2 sup refs from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years workedCandidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.THIS POSITION MAY FLOAT BETWEEN SICU (SURGICAL ICU) and TICU (TRAUMA ICU) DEPENDING ON CENSUS. BOTH SETS OF UNIT NOTES ARE BELOW Unit: SICU - St John's ICU - Surgical ICU (background exp needed with surgical patients CEA, fem-pop, EVARs, laparotomies, thoracic surgeries)- beds: 10- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS- Ratios: 1:1 - 2- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.- Nurse Aides: Yes as Safety Attendants (sitters)- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Holidays: Rotate in with core staff- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.- Vents: Yes- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist- IV Team: No- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves \"available\" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available.- Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.- Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patientsPostop recoveries - primarily vascular, Fempops, VATs, thoracic, open belly surgeries. CRRT, ECMO. Line placements are common.- Unit: TICU- beds: 8- Certs: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS. Prefer trauma experience.- Ratios: 1:1 - 2. 1:1 IABP and donor patients. IABP is not 1:1- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.- Nurse Aides: Yes as Safety Attendants (sitters)- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Holidays: Rotate in with core staff- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.- Vents: Yes- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist- IV Team: Resource nurse available if needed.- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes and ICU Pharmacy open during dayshift.- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves \"available\" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Line insertions are common. - Additional Notes: Interdiciplinary rounds are done on every patient on days.
