You will build large-scale software applications and collaborate with other staff, senior engineers, and teams to shape and drive the technical direction for the organization and products. Your strong system design skills will help ensure our products are bulletproof and fault-tolerant, while meeting demanding interactivity and responsiveness requirements. Your customer-obsession will lead you to join forces with product and design teams to imagine and deliver innovative solutions to key customer problems.The team you will work on is developing a new 0 to 1 product for Axon.You will work closely with senior engineers across teams to review their designs and steer them towards more reliable and sustainable outcomes, making you a force multiplier for your team and others. You are a great collaborator and coach, mentoring our next generation of engineering leaders. • Impact the development and design for launching a new 0 to 1 product for Axon
• Set a high technical bar for the team through deep technical insights and architecture design reviews
• Mentor engineers
• Collaborate across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve major technical challenges
• Improve engineering processes, including long-term planning and sprint execution
• Build services that meet high standards on availability, performance, and security
• Work with the latest open source technologiesWhat You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience building and scaling impactful software products in team environments
  • Deep skills in driving technical solutions across multiple teams
  • Backend cloud experience with managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar
  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases like SQL Server and Cassandra
  • Experience designing high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems
  • Ability to write beautiful, simple, maintainable backend microservices code
