Job Description Job Description Insurance Defense Attorney Insurance Defense Attorney Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload that includes personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking cases. This position requires a proactive approach to legal defense, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and expert witnesses. Key Responsibilities - Manage a caseload of insurance defense litigation cases, including personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking matters. - Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions. - Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation. - Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes. - Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to build compelling cases. - Review and manage documents related to discovery and document production. - Perform site inspections and gather evidence to support cases. - Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients. - Use cloud-based technology for document management and maintain a paperless office environment. Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Active California Bar License. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. - Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal research skills. - Proficient in legal writing and documentation. - Experience with trial preparation and court appearances. - Ability to negotiate settlements effectively and work under pressure. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Demonstrated initiative and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
