Title: Pension Reviewer
Position Type: Exempt Hours per Week:
for performing advanced support functions for the Alameda Pension
Department to the various department staff, supervisors and
minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job
election of benefits forms completed by processors before mailing
completed pensioner setup forms from processors before pension
pre and post-retirement pension death benefit
pension pop-up calculations.
Ancillary Supplemental Social Security Benefit calculations and
additional hours calculations done by processors.
related service calculations.
QDRO and community property calculations.
pension appeals packets prior to appeals meetings.
special projects as requested by management.
quality review reports and consults with management team to insure
pension processing staff are meeting quality work
and interprets new benefit plans and/or benefit plan changes and
plan document changes, and acts as a resource for
training for new employees and additional training for existing
employees as directed by management.
and assists in pension software programming changes and
other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and
requirements of the job. Consistently meet established performance
demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
work outside of normal work hours (i.e. weekends/extended hours)

school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
of three years' experience doing pension administration
