Sacramento Valley Medical Center actively searching for a Service
Line Nurse Director Emergency Services.
The Executive Director Emergency Department will oversee the
daily operations of an extremely busy 50 bed unit, which last year
saw over 90,000 patients. Reporting to the Chief Nursing
Officer, the Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Director is
supported by 3 nurse managers as well as 6 assistant nurse managers
and charge nurses, with over 150 FTE’s in the
The Director of Emergency Services will maintain the a
designated Cardiovascular Receiving Center and Stroke Neurology
Receiving Center. The ER Nurse Director will collaborate with
20 physicians board certified in Emergency Medicine, along with
nurse Practitioners, nurses, educators, clinical coordinators and
The Emergency Director will work closely with staff to
coordinate and oversee continuing education and in-service
trainings and will review policies and procedures to ensure best
practices in patient safety and performance improvement.
The Emergency Services Nurse Director ER will collaborate
with the Infection control committee as well as the Quality
Coordinator to ensure best practices and patient satisfaction. The
Emergency Services Nurse Director ER will be responsible
supervision of the department, treating any immediate medical or
surgical emergencies and for providing other chronic medical
problems, minor injuries or illness.
