Job Description:
Transdev is a leading operator and global integrator of

non-emergency medical transportation, moving millions of people

50 cities across the country. Transdev has managed the San
Francisco Paratransit program on behalf of SFMTA since April 2000.
Since then, the overall structure of the program as well as the
service delivery model has gradually matured and settled to
providing specific and key paratransit services. Purpose of
Position: This position will primarily be responsible for
understanding all aspects of rider services and their delivery
including from rider, driver and dispatcher perspectives. It will
also plan paratransit group van service delivery and will assist
with planning, developing and administering programs, studies,
patterns, trends and reports. The position is responsible for
managing all Trapeze PASS routing & scheduling tools and for using
GIS geospatial data in analysis of schedules and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Through rider feedback and meetings with drivers and
dispatchers, analyze service for quality, trip or passenger trends
and patterns, reviewing for opportunities to improve productivity
of service and improve rider experiences.
- With specific guidance and appropriate resources, will develop
short- and long-range service plans for all service modes including
group van services.
- Evaluates trip provision to common addresses or locations to
prioritize route modifications including expansion to combine
individual trips to achieve the highest levels of service quality
and efficiency/productivity.
- Monitors routing and scheduling structures of all routes to
ensure compliance with regulations, including those governing rest
and meal breaks.
- Successfully enters, tracks and maintains all necessary and
critical planning data including file back-ups and documentation
files.
- Assists the Transdev Corporate Support and local Operating
Division to develop a driver shift bid twice a year and monitors
its conduct and implementation.
- Understands, documents and supports the SF ACCESS and GROUP VAN
dispatching and scheduling processes and provides guidance on
better techniques for conducting these functions when asked.
- Tracks, compiles and analyzes performance issues and proposes
possible solutions at an interdepartmental level.
- Prepares and presents a variety of informational reports as
requested to management, the SFMTA, advisory groups and others that
are logical, easy to follow and are data driven.
- Works with management, drivers and dispatcher to improve
service delivery, streamline and improve processes and trip
scheduling.
- Able to quickly learn and gain proficiency with computer
software to manage data and schedule and manage passenger
trips.
- Capable of exhibiting a high-level of team spirit and internal
customer service.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service to individuals,
businesses and groups.
- Seeks and provides information to employees as needed;
providing friendly, professional customer service interaction,
responds to employee questions regarding all types of routing &
scheduling matters.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all rider and
system information.
- Must be able to perform GIS geospatial data collection and
analysis applicable to paratransit service levels with the goal of
determining better/more efficient ways to deliver those
services.
- Performs other duties as required.Qualifications: Education,
Licensing, and Certifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, transportation or related
field or 2 years of equivalent professional work experience
Experience:
A total of 1 to 2 years of relevant
professional experience is desiredPrevious relevant transit
experience preferred; with Trapeze Scheduling or Dispatching
experience preferredExperienced in the use of MS Office tools
including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and other
toolsGIS - college course work Skills and Knowledge Required:
Proficiency working with Microsoft
Word, Excel and Access, and good aptitude to learn specialized
software.Familiarity with ArcGIS is desired. Proficiency in
performing GIS spatial joins and buffers is required.Familiarity
with Paratransit operations and routing/scheduling software
strongly preferred.Ability to read, understand, and interpret
instructions, policies, and procedures.Very good skills in writing
and communicating in English is a requirement of this job.Ability
to organize and perform work efficiently.Must possess a strong
attention to detailTravel requirement (as a percent): less than a
total of 5% for occasional training and meetings are mostly local

- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as
needed.
- 90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or
well-ventilated facilities

equipped with a telephone and computer.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent
sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. Salary Range:
