Job Description Job Description The Opportunity mediNOW Urgent Care, a leading urgent care provider in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking an experienced APC (Advanced Practice Clinician) to staff our busy clinic. You must be comfortable seeing patients ages 6 months and older and proficient in minor procedures. We are seeking a part-time or per diem NP/PA with occasional availability of 3-7 days per month to support our clinic’s extended hours. This role is ideal for someone already working at a local clinic and seeking to staff additional hours, someone who enjoys working multiple per diem roles across multiple clinics, or someone who just needs part-time work to accommodate personal responsibilities. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $85 to $95 per hour. About the Company We provide convenient, compassionate medical care on Hopyard Road in Pleasanton. Responsibilities Provide outstanding, empathetic, patient-centered care Optimize patient flow to minimize wait times and operate the clinic efficiently Work closely with our talented medical team, taking a collaborative, positive approach to your work relationships Provide complete and timely documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system You must be able to work 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts What you can expect from mediNOW Patient care without the administrative hassles—spend more time working with our medical team to attend to patients and their families, and to provide high-quality care A flexible schedule, determined in advance based on your availability Average patient load of approximately 3-4 patients per hour during an average day (with some ability to flex) Fully equipped, brand-new, state-of-the-art facility with on-site labs, digital X-rays, and a cloud-based EMR system Medical malpractice insurance is provided by the employer Minimum Qualifications Master's degree Active California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensing Current DEA Certification Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably within an urgent care, busy primary care, or emergency room environment Ability to treat patients of all ages Ideal Qualifications Exceptional patient listening, interpersonal, and empathy skills Unparalleled bedside manner and compassionate approach that results in consistently high levels of patient satisfaction, word-of-mouth referrals, and return visits over time Ability to sustain a positive work environment for our medical team, including contributing to high job satisfaction and career advancement opportunities for others Amenable to innovative healthcare delivery models, including patient consumer convenience care in retail-based settings Community, family, or professional ties to the East Bay, or a desire to become a valued member of the community Center hours are Mon-Fri 8 am-8 pm, and Sat-Sun 8 am-5 pm.
